Guangde Museum

Guangde County Museum is located on the northwest side of the west wing of the Guangde County Cultural Center. It has one basement level and three above-ground floors, with a total floor area of approximately 5,800 square meters.

The museum displays over 200 premium exhibits collected through field surveys.

The artifacts span a time range from the Paleolithic Age to the New Democratic Revolution period and are arranged in nine units based on chronological development. The nearly 200-meter-long exhibition route begins at the Prologue Hall — the Stage of History and concludes with the Anti-Japanese War deeds of Wang Jinlin at Tongrui Beacon-Fire. It not only showcases over 300,000 years of historical upheaval and reflects the magnificent struggles of the people of Guangde in conquering nature, utilizing natural resources, and transforming society for their survival and development in various periods, but also highlights the county’s rich historical and cultural resources, making it easier for visitors to further explore Guangde’s cultural tourism offerings.

Every day, a continuous stream of students and parents visit the museum to learn about societal and historical changes and to explore local cultural characteristics, making the museum the most “popular” base for science education.
