The former site of the Huaining County Central Committee of the Communist Party of China is located on Taipingsi Street in Anqing. It is now a municipal-level key cultural relics protection unit. After the August 7th Meeting of the Communist Party of China, Wang Buwen was dispatched by the then Provisional Committee of the Communist Party of China in Anhui Province to Anqing to establish an underground party organization — the Huaining County Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Members of the county committee included Yao Zuoyuan, Zhou Xinmin, Xu Jie, Ge Wenyuan, Guo Chengshu, and others. Yao Zuoyuan served as the secretary of the county committee. Yao Zuoyuan and Guo Chengshu rented three rooms at No. 11 Taipingsi, outside the West Gate of Anqing, under the guise of a fake married couple, which served as the headquarters of the county committee.
