A Water Wonderland！Take a Tour of Chinese Architecture – Xiamen Garden Expo Park

Located in Xiamen, the Garden Expo Park covers an area of 6.76 square kilometers and has numerous small and large islands scattered throughout, hence it's also known as the “Water Wonderland.” Among them, Garden Expo Island, Min-Taiwan Garden, and the Garden Expo Boulevard that connects the two islands were once the main exhibition areas during the Garden Expo. The entire Garden Expo Park is divided into the Jiangnan Area, Modern Area, Northern Area, International Area, Lingnan Area, Landscape Architects' Area, Public Area, Ethnic Culture Area, Min-Taiwan Island, and China Education Area.

Each area recreates the unique architectural style of its region—for example, the Jiangnan Area features delicate water town gardens and includes sites such as Jinan Garden, Changsha Garden, and Suzhou Garden. In addition to representative buildings from various parts of China, the International Area showcases representative structures from 24 countries, including white Greek houses, Singapore’s Merlion, and Dutch windmills.
