The Site of Chairman Mao's Inspection of Anqing No. 1 Middle School is a cultural relic protection unit in Anqing City.

In Anqing, a national historical and cultural city in Anhui Province, whenever the preservation of cultural relics and historic sites is mentioned, people naturally think of Anqing No. 1 Middle School. This century-old school, honored as a GLOBE School and a key high school in Anhui Province, was originally founded in 1906 at the proposal of Yan Fu and upon the memorial of Anhui Governor Enming to the Qing court as the Anhui Normal School. It was later renamed Anhui Provincial No. 1 Middle School and Anhui Provincial Senior High School, among other names. It is the only regular middle school inspected by Chairman Mao after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The ancient Qiao Tower, the Dacheng Gate of the Confucius Temple, and the library building of the Anhui Provincial Library from the Republican era within the campus are well-preserved, blending perfectly with the modern teaching buildings, science and technology buildings, gymnasiums, sports fields, and more.
