Liangzhe Guild Hall

The Liangzhe Guild Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Zhejiang Province.

The Liangzhe Guild Hall is located in Fuchun Subdistrict, Fuyang District, Hangzhou City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

The Liangzhe Guild Hall is located in the urban area of Fuyang, south of the former Hou River and north of Qia Yi Bridge (the river and the bridge no longer exist), and is now at No. 78 Shixin Road, Fuyang Town. Originally built in the 22nd year of the Jiaqing reign (1817) and funded by Wang Huizu, a merchant from Shaoxing, it served as a gathering place for the indigo, liquor, and sundry goods trades from eastern and western Zhejiang for official discussions—hence the name “Liangzhe Guild Hall.” Its main hall once enshrined a statue of Guan Yu, earning it the alternate name Wusheng Palace (Palace of the Martial Sage), which was later damaged during wartime. It was restored in the 20th year of the Guangxu reign (1894). The entire structure of the “Liangzhe Guild Hall” faces south and consists of a main hall, rear hall, and side wing rooms on both sides.

On January 13, 2017, it was designated as part of the seventh batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province.
