China Taxation and Finance Museum

China Taxation and Finance Museum is located in Hangzhou, an ancient city in southern China. Situated at the northwest foot of Wu Hill, a renowned scenic area rich in historical and cultural heritage, it is about 200 meters from West Lake, covering an area of 27 mu with a built-up area of 12,000 square meters. The public environmental signage is designed to be retro, clear, and concise. The designers, while inheriting the seriousness and solemnity of previous government projects, have created a classic signage system. The overall layout takes inspiration from the shape of the large shoulder-high pointed-foot spade coins of the Warring States period, fitting the terrain while perfectly complementing Wu Hill Square. The combination of square and round forms in the museum's layout and design is symbolic, drawing inspiration from the shape of the Ban Liang round coins with square holes from the Qin Dynasty.
