Zhu Renfang Mansion

Zhu Renfang Mansion is a cultural heritage site protected at the district level in Zhenhai.

Zhu Renfang Mansion was built in the early years of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty. It is located on Gulou West Road, Zhaobao Mountain Subdistrict, Zhenhai District, bordering the ancient Hao River of Zhenhai to the east, facing Zhenhai People's Park to the south, standing adjacent to residential buildings in Zhongshan Community, Zhaobao Mountain Subdistrict, Zhenhai to the west, and looking toward Longsai Hospital and the historic Gulou landmark of Zhenhai to the north. The property covers a land area of 1,540 square meters and a construction area of 1,522 square meters. The residence consists of two courtyards, front and back, flanked by wing rooms and connected side buildings—a two-story wooden structure featuring five bays and two lanes.

The beams, brackets, and wood carvings on the upper floors, corridors, and verandas are exquisitely crafted, featuring delicate latticework windows and brick engravings. A shaded pier along the ancient Hao River on the eastern side is supported by stone-lined embankments, embodying the charm of traditional Jiangnan riverside residences—an uncommon sight among urban historical homes. In 1994, it was featured in the publication Traditional Chinese Folk Architecture.

It was designated as a district-level cultural heritage site in 2000.
