● Germany Bonn
Bonn, once the capital of West Germany before reunification and a political hub until just over a decade ago, is also the hometown of the composer Ludwig van Beethoven. It boasts both rich cultural and historical appeal. When visiting Bonn in spring, it's recommended to stroll along the ancient streets by the Rhine River and spend some extra time on Heerstrasse. Normally a simple lane, Heerstrasse transforms into a breathtaking cherry blossom avenue in March and April.

● South Korea Jinhae
South Korea’s most iconic cherry blossom festival, the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, is held annually for about ten days around early April as the cherry blossoms bloom. The main festivities take place in Jinhae District, Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province. The festival primarily commemorates Admiral Yi Sun-sin, a national hero. Jinhae served as a Japanese naval base before 1945 and is currently a key military site for South Korea. The cherry trees were planted during the Japanese occupation, were once cut down, but were replanted to become what they are today.
