The Taipei Lantern Festival has drawn to a successful close. This year’s highly talked-about main lantern, the “Fortune Monkey,” along with the Prayer Lantern Area, will be relocated from the 12th to the 20th to Keelung, continuing to draw crowds at Keelung Harbor. Light projection shows will also be held every evening, presenting the Fortune Monkey in its original form.

The Taipei Lantern Festival officially came to an end on February 29. The Civil Affairs Bureau stated that after the festival, the Fortune Monkey will be moved to the East 3rd and East 4th Wharf Plaza at Keelung Harbor for display from March 12 to 20. After the exhibition, the Fortune Monkey, which is made of recycled materials, will be dismantled. On the opening day, the 12th, a joyful clown show has been arranged, and during the exhibition period, light projection shows will be performed every half hour from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Visitors traveling to Keelung during this time are welcome to come and enjoy the displays.
