Zhongxing Cherry Blossom Park is bordered by the eastern section of Zhongshan East Road to the south, adjoins Zhongxing Road to the east, and neighbors Zhongtang River to the north. It covers a total area of 3.3 hectares, including 3 hectares of land and 0.3 hectares of water surface. The park consists of four sections: the main square activity area, the China-Japan Friendship Garden, the shallow shoal fishing area, and the cherry blossom viewing area. There are eight scenic spots in total: Morning Breeze in the Sun, Fishermen’s Song at Dusk, Green Mountains with Flowing White, Japanese Stones Soaring, Flower Path Asking about Cherry Blossoms, Curved Bridge Playing with Lotus, A River Separating Two Lands, and Pillow by the River Treading Waves. The main square activity area is a sunken circular plaza with a diameter of 50

meters, accompanied by a dry fountain.

The China-Japan Friendship Garden, built to commemorate the establishment of sister-city relations between Ningbo and Nagaokakyo, Japan, consists of three islands: Zhange, Yingzhou, and Penglai, covering areas of 1,100 square meters, 110 square meters, and 11 square meters respectively. The shallow shoal fishing area accounts for about one-fifth of the park’s total area. The 300-meter-long pebble slope along the river is ideal for fishing, with peach and willow trees along the banks creating a pleasing reflection in the water. The cherry blossom viewing area is planted with over 500 cherry trees, forming a distinctive landscape. In addition to cherry blossoms, the park also features 17,000 plants including Red Maple, Featherleaf Maple, Weeping Willow, Red Leaf Maple, Jade Lotus, and Chinese Juniper.
