Yuguang Mountain Kiln Site
The Yuguang Mountain Kiln Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Yinzhou District.
The Yuguang Mountain Kiln Site is located in Hengxi Town and is the earliest discovered kiln site in Yinzhou District, dating back to the Eastern Han Dynasty. The accumulation area of the kiln site covers approximately 900 square meters, with a deposit thickness of about 1–1.5 meters. The site has a rich accumulation of artifacts, featuring a wide variety of pottery types, with bowls and jars as the main products, all exquisitely crafted. Decorative patterns mainly include printed mat designs, net patterns, and string patterns. The glaze is smooth, mostly bluish-gray in color. The body is relatively fine, appearing grayish-white. Kiln tools include double-footed pedestals, double-footed vessels, flared mouths, cylindrical padding tools, and round disc-shaped three-legged nail vessels. This kiln site was announced as one of the first batch of county-level cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Yinxian County (now Yinzhou District) on June 16, 1982.
