Tiantong–Wulongtan Scenic Area
Tiantong–Wulongtan Scenic Area is a cultural tourism attraction.
[Tiantong–Wulongtan] is located in Yinzhou District, Ningbo City. It consists of three major scenic zones—Tiantong, Wulongtan, and Ayuwang Temple—comprising 154 scenic spots, with a total area of 58.6 square kilometers. The area boasts profound cultural heritage, including the over 1,700-year-old Tiantong Temple and Ayuwang Temple, which have retained their overall layout and architectural features. These sites have attracted scholars and poets throughout history, leaving behind numerous poems and literary works. Tiantong is home to the only well-preserved typical mid-subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest ecosystem in eastern Zhejiang. With rich plant diversity, it holds significant research and aesthetic value. The scenic area features picturesque natural landscapes, with cascading waterfalls and serene pools in varied forms, as well as uniquely shaped peaks and rocks that add to its charm.
