Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center is a large-scale, modern exhibition venue invested and built by the Ningbo Municipal Government. It serves as the core exhibition area of the Ningbo International Trade and Exhibition Center. Located in the center of Ningbo’s six urban districts, it sits at the heart of the Eastern New Town business district, offering convenient transportation — just 5 kilometers from the entrances to the Shanghai–Hangzhou–Ningbo and Ningbo–Taizhou–Wenzhou expressways; 18 kilometers from Beilun Port, China’s second-largest port; directly connected to the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge, and only a two-hour drive from Shanghai, one of China’s major metropolises.

Covering an area of 44.4 hectares, the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center has a total floor space of 140,000 square meters. It mainly consists of ten buildings, including eight circular conventional exhibition halls, a conference building, and a business building. The complex can provide nearly 5,000 international standard booths. Each exhibition hall is independently functional yet interconnected, forming a flexible layout that can be divided or merged as needed to accommodate exhibitions of all sizes.

In front of the main south entrance of the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center lies a large convention and exhibition square. At the center of the square’s central axis stands a 72-meter-high arrow-shaped landmark tower, known as the “Sea-Calming Needle.” This towering needle points skyward, complementing the bow-like shape of the main exhibition hall, symbolizing the upward momentum of the development of the Ningbo Convention and Exhibition Center.

The total investment for Phase I and Phase II of the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center amounts to 1.04 billion yuan. The overall development, construction, and operational management of the Ningbo International Trade and Exhibition Center are primarily undertaken by Ningbo International Trade and Investment Development Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Guotou Company). Established in February 2006, Guotou Company has a registered capital of 1.8 billion yuan and total assets of 3.2 billion yuan. The Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center is operated and managed by Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guotou Company.
