Zhongying Temple (Wang Anshi Memorial Hall)
Zhongying Temple (Wang Anshi Memorial Hall) is a cultural relics protection unit of Yinzhou District.
Zhongying Temple, commonly known as Wang Anshi Temple, is located in Xiashui Village, Dongqian Lake Town (east bank of Dongqian Lake), and was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit in 1987.
The temple was built during the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (1796–1826) as a five-bay quadrangle courtyard with a flush-gable roof style. Due to years of neglect and severe damage to some structures, the temple was fully restored in 1986. The central hall now features a painted clay seated statue of Wang Anshi, while the side rooms house an exhibition on “Wang Anshi’s Historical Traces in Yinzhou.”
Dongqian Lake Town: Nestled amid the undulating, picturesque mountains on the southeastern outskirts of Ningbo, Dongqian Lake Town boasts a prime location and convenient transportation. Situated within the rapidly developing, densely populated, and well-connected Yangtze River Delta region, it serves as a central hub in the East Zhejiang tourism network. It is just a 10-minute drive from downtown Ningbo and Lishe Airport, and only 10 minutes to access the Shanghai–Hangzhou–Ningbo Expressway and the Tongsan Expressway. With the completion of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge in 2008, Ningbo entered a two-hour traffic circle centered around Shanghai. The town is home to what Mr. Guo Moruo praised as “the charm of West Lake and the grandeur of Taihu Lake...” More details about Dongqian Lake Town++
