Shaoxing Fangyuan Agricultural Sightseeing Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Located at the foot of the provincial scenic spot Hou Mountain, the provincial leisure fishery demonstration base — Yuecheng District Fangyuan Agricultural Sightseeing Park — is a fishing-themed park. The site includes a 150-acre pond for high-quality aquatic farming and fishing, a 140-acre open-water fish farming area, a 30-acre leisure fishing zone, 1,700 square meters of resort villas, a 1,280-square-meter farmhouse restaurant and conference center, a 165-acre garden and flower area, a 10-acre pollution-free vegetable area, and a 10-acre pollution-free poultry and livestock farming area. This park is an agricultural eco-park integrating aquaculture, poultry, vegetables, and trees and flowers, as well as a comprehensive sightseeing agricultural park that blends leisure, culture, cuisine, tourism, and sightseeing. Recently, after evaluation by the Shaoxing Tourism Site Quality Rating Authority, the Yuecheng District Fangyuan Agricultural Sightseeing Park was rated as a AA-level tourist area.

The park includes an aquaculture zone, fruit and vegetable planting area, garden and flower area, fishing and leisure area, and wildfowl farming area. It also features dining facilities, large meeting rooms, and is designed with romantic cottages, flower-covered bridges, talent and entertainment areas for visitors to interact with nature. Visitors can escape the hustle and bustle of the city, admire the rural scenery, taste local specialties, pick seasonal fruits, enjoy leisurely fishing, and experience a relaxed and natural ambiance. The park highlights characteristics such as "greenery, serenity, quietude, and wilderness." Fangyuan Sightseeing Park attracts visitors from all directions with its fresh and beautiful rural scenery, rich local flavor, simple and honest folk customs, and delicious, tender fresh food.

Yuecheng District Fangyuan Agricultural Sightseeing Park has earned two new honors: among the 51 provincial leisure and sightseeing agricultural demonstration parks selected by the Provincial Department of Agriculture and the Provincial Tourism Bureau, “Fangyuan” made the list; in the city’s first-ever selection of the top ten science education tourism bases, “Fangyuan” was also included. Reporters learned that, as the main urban area of our city where agricultural resources are not abundant, Yuecheng District has made leisure and sightseeing agriculture a key driver of transformation and upgrading. Currently, there are 19 leisure agricultural sightseeing parks in operation, receiving 289,000 visitors annually, greatly enhancing the added value of agriculture.

Fangyuan Agricultural Sightseeing Park is the first agricultural sightseeing park established in Yuecheng District. Last year, it received 60,000 visitors. According to Chen Jiming, the company’s general manager, the park is divided into an agricultural product cultivation area, an agricultural product processing area, and a dining and entertainment area. Unlike businesses that solely produce agricultural goods, the fruits, vegetables, chickens, ducks, fish, and shrimp here are not only available for visitors to view and eat, but can also be processed into gift packages for purchase. “The agricultural park encompasses functions of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries, achieving a high-level cycle of development.” The sightseeing park not only grows aquatic flowers and greenhouse crops, but also has a 15,000-square-meter grass-skiing field, a renovated 500-meter ecological irrigation channel, and has opened a flower stream rafting area.
