The Stone House Chan Temple Carvings are located in Chengnan Subdistrict, Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, dating back to the Ming Dynasty.

Located along the mountain path at the western foot of Mount Kuaiji in Jiuli Village, Chengnan Subdistrict, Yuecheng District, these carvings form a set of Ming Dynasty cliff engravings. In 1987, they were designated as a county-level key cultural relic protection unit by the then Shaoxing County People's Government, and were elevated to a Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Unit in 2017.

On January 13, 2017, they were announced by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government as part of the seventh batch of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Units.

Chengnan Subdistrict: The Chengnan Subdistrict Office of Yuecheng District was established in August 2001, with internal divisions including “Three Offices and One Center,” namely: the Party and Government Office, the Economic Development Office, the Social Affairs Office, and the Comprehensive Governance Work Center. It currently has 29 civil servants and 10 institutional staff members.

Chengnan Subdistrict is located at the southern gateway of Shaoxing City, just separated from the old city area by a river. To the north, it is closely connected to the urban area via Chengnan Bridge and Zhongxing Bridge. To the south, it borders Mount Qinyang; to the east, it lies adjacent to the Incense Burner Peak of Emperor Yu’s Mausoleum and the Zhejiang Kuaiji Mountain Tourist Resort; and to the west, it faces the Calligraphy Holy Land of Lanting.
