Nanan Scenic Area in Wangtan Town is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Nanan Village is located in the mountainous southern region of Shaoxing County, at the southern foot of Mount Huaji, upstream from the Tangpu Reservoir. As of 2006, the village had 446 households, covering a total area of 5.5 square kilometers. The village has 4,729 mu of forested land, 1,070 mu of arable land, and 915 mu of tea plantations. The total collective income of the village was 560,000 yuan, and the per capita income reached 8,100 yuan in 2006. It is a mountainous village with limited flat land.

The village has successively been recognized as a provincial model village for a well-off society through joint efforts at the provincial, municipal, and county levels. From 2004 to 2005, it was rated as a county-level learning-oriented village for two consecutive years, and has been honored multiple times as a municipal and county-level "Five-Good" Party organization, a provincial eco-green demonstration village, a municipal and county-level civilized village, a municipal health village, a municipal ecological demonstration village, and a cultural specialty village, among others.

The village has always prioritized economic development, maintaining supportive policies for private and individual businesses and actively encouraging villagers to engage in such enterprises. By 2006, the village had over 20 private enterprises, mainly in textiles, garments, food, plastics, hardware, and tea processing. The Runlu Green Food Co., Ltd., invested and built by the village, saw its “Runlu” royal jelly sold nationwide; Xuanfeng Industrial Co., Ltd. became a national organic tea base. An industrial cluster zone was constructed, leasing out 7,000 square meters with an investment of 2.5 million yuan, attracting 11 new private enterprises. A land shareholding cooperative was established to facilitate the rational allocation of land resources. An investment of 1 million yuan was made to upgrade the primary tea processing facility, constructing a new 700-square-meter factory building and adding new tea processing equipment, further boosting the village’s economic growth. The village also actively developed tourism resources, adhering to the scientific development concept and exploring sustainable development paths. With an investment of 2 million yuan, the Nanan Second Bridge was built, the Xuanfeng Eco-Park building was constructed, a comprehensive management project was carried out on the 900-meter Xuanfeng small watershed, the natural rock formation known as Yanwu was restored, and the Xuanfeng Ridge Avenue was expanded and upgraded. These efforts helped scale the eco-park into a large-scale garden area [1].
