Since the launch of the Winter Olympics bid in 2013, China’s skiing industry has been developing rapidly, driven by strong policy support and significant capital investment. According to relevant survey data, the scale of China’s ice & snow industry grew from RMB 117.7 billion in 2013 to RMB 397.6 billion in 2017, with a growth rate as high as 238%. In the coming years, the ice & snow industry still has tremendous room for growth,with projections estimating it will exceed RMB 600 billion by 2020.The “National Ice & Snow Sports Participation Survey” released in 2018 showed thatthe cumulative number of people in China who have participated in ice & snow sports has reached 270 million,nearing the overall goal of “300 million people participating in ice & snow sports,” thanks to government policy support and the involvement of capital enterprises.
