Listed: March 16, 2005
Sulong Bridge consists of a three-arch stone bridge and a sixteen-span stone beam bridge, with a total length of 96.40 meters and a width of 2 meters, stretching east-west across Qingdian Lake. The stone arch bridge is located near the north bank, with a total length of about 26 meters. The central arch has a clear span of 6.10 meters and an arch rise of 3.10 meters, while the side arches have a clear span of 5.40 meters and an arch rise of 2.54 meters. The bridge features thin piers and thin arches. The stone beam bridge is lower in height and connects to the southern end of the arched section, with an entrance stone pavilion built on the south bank.
Sulong Bridge is rationally designed and uniquely shaped, facilitating both navigation and cross-river traffic. It is labor-saving and material-efficient — a bridge type well-suited for wide rivers with gentle currents, and holds high research value.
