Jiedu Bridge
Jiedu Bridge is located on Jilong River in Zhongze Village, Keqiao Subdistrict. This Qing Dynasty stone bridge consists of a three-arch section and a two-beam section. The spans and rise of the arches are uniform, while the side beam sections resemble outstretched arms from the arches, creating a balanced and symmetrical design with elegant form and well-preserved structure. It is documented in *Science and Civilisation in China: Volume 5, Part 13 – Civil Engineering and Nautics*.
Keqiao Subdistrict: Situated in the prosperous Ningbo-Shaoxing Plain in eastern Zhejiang Province, Keqiao Subdistrict lies 13 kilometers east of downtown Shaoxing and 50 kilometers west of Hangzhou. It is traversed east–west by the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Railway, expressways, and National Highway 104. The area features scenic water bodies such as Jianhu Lake and Guazhu Lake, along with cultural heritage sites including the Ancient Boat Towing Path and Rongguang Bridge, embodying a classic Jiangnan water town charm and renowned as the “Golden Keqiao.”
In August 2001, approved by the provincial and municipal governments, Keqiao Subdistrict was established as the political, economic, and cultural center of Shaoxing County.
