East Leading Bridge

The East Leading Bridge is located in Chengnan Village, Yongzhong Subdistrict, Longwan District. Originally built in the fourth year of the Chongzhen reign during the Ming Dynasty (1631), it is a three-arch beam-type stone bridge stretching from north to south across Lipu River. It is 19.6 meters long and 1.8 meters wide. On the eastern side of the bridge, the three characters “东引桥” (East Leading Bridge) are engraved in intaglio regular script, while on the western side, the six characters “崇祯四年□建” (Built in the fourth year of Chongzhen) are similarly engraved. The bridge deck is covered with carved cloud patterns and auspicious motifs.

Yongzhong Subdistrict: Located on the southern bank of the lower reaches of the Oujiang River in the eastern part of Wenzhou City, Yongzhong Subdistrict is the seat of the Longwan District government. It lies close to Wenzhou Yongqiang Airport and the Longwan Ten-Thousand-Ton Dock, with Airport Avenue, Yongqiang Avenue, and Wenqiang Highway running through the area.
