Yucang Mountain Forest Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Yucang Mountain Forest Park is located in the northwest of Cangnan County, 32 kilometers from the county seat of Lingxi Town. The park features unique natural landscapes such as the "Stone Sea" made up of bizarrely shaped rocks and clusters of mountaintop lakes that appear to have no source but do. These blend harmoniously with dense forests, sea of clouds, ancient temples, and secluded caves to create distinctive lake-and-mountain scenery.

Stone Sea: At Yucang Mountain, there is no ordinary stone, nor is there an unattractive one. Legend has it that there are seventy-two scenic spots in the mountain. Between altitudes of 700 to 1,000 meters, the hillsides are covered with natural rock sculptures resembling birds, turtles, rabbits, horses, snakes, crabs, elephants, pumpkins... Each is strikingly lifelike, forming a veritable sea of stones.

In the Stone Sea, there are massive rocks as tall as two or three-story buildings rising from the ground, as well as small rocks the size of baskets scattered around. All the stones are smoothly rounded, without sharp edges. Amidst the undulating waves of the Stone Sea stands a rock called the “Capsized Boat Rock,” which looks like a boat turned upside down, with only its bottom visible floating on the surface. The “Shaking Rock,” weighing several hundred tons, is cleverly balanced and can be rocked by hand.

Nearby, the “Echoing Rock” responds loudly when you shout on top of it. Five huge rocks, each three meters high, are placed at equal intervals along the mountain ridge, forming a “Fairy’s Stepping Stones” just like those in a stream—meant only for celestial beings to walk on.

“Stone Waterfall”: Perhaps most astonishing is the “Stone Waterfall,” covering an area of over a hundred square meters. Despite having no actual flowing water, it vividly resembles a cascading waterfall, full of dynamic energy. This natural rock wonder can be admired from afar or viewed up close, offering different experiences but always prompting awe at nature’s extraordinary craftsmanship.

Climbing the “Heroes’ Sky Ridge”: Located on the right side of Yucang Mountain’s main peak, this formation consists of three parallel, rock ridges, each tens of meters long, tilting at a 35-degree angle toward the sky. With valleys on both sides, it is an awe-inspiring sight.

Although the “Heroes’ Sky Ridge” is treacherous, those with courage can climb it. Its steep and rugged terrain features perfectly round, edgeless rocks, but the sandy granite offers high friction. With determination, you can ascend this thrilling yet safe route to reach the summit of Yucang Mountain at an elevation of 921.5 meters. The peak is surrounded by mountains for dozens of kilometers.

Take a bus from Niushan North Road Coach Terminal in downtown Wenzhou to Lingxi Town in Cangnan County, then transfer to the park shuttle bus.

From the direction of Hangzhou, take the Qiaodun Guanmei exit, proceed 6 kilometers along National Highway 104, then turn right to reach Yucang Mountain directly. From the direction of Fujian, depart from Fuding City, pass through Qiaodun Town, and arrive at the forest park—a distance of 46 kilometers.

The distance from Cangnan County town to the forest park is 95 kilometers; from Nan Yandang Mountain National Scenic Area in Pingyang County to the forest park, it is 110 kilometers.
