Shipu Hall

Shipu Hall is located about 4 kilometers northwest of Lingxi Town, Cangnan County (within Puting Township). The area features an abundance of large, uniquely shaped rocks that compete in splendor, hence the mountain is named Shipu (Gathered Rocks). At the high center of the area stands a hall, which includes the Shrine of Xu Zhenjun and the Yuquan Zen Temple, and thus it is commonly known as Shipu Hall.

The site is known for its spectacular rock formations, secluded caves, emerald lakes, and religious culture, and is divided into three sections: Naturally Formed Shipu, Yuquan Cave Heaven, and Taibao Sun Viewing. Natural attractions include Single-Person Alley, One-Line Sky, Golden Turtle Carrying Its Young, Nine-Section Dragon, Ji Gong’s Hat, - Rock, and Prayer-Hands Rock. Cultural sites include Purple Cloud Taoist Temple, Jade Pure Taoist Temple, Yuquan Zen Temple, and Guanyin Pavilion.

The area enjoys excellent climatic and geographical conditions, which are favorable for vegetation growth and the survival and reproduction of wildlife. To date, more than 20 species have been identified here, including nationally and provincially protected animals such as otters, nine-headed eagles, four-sound cuckoos, and key protected plants like nageia.
