Lin Huishan (1906–1980) was from Yuantan Village, Chixi Town, Cangnan County. In April 1934, he joined the revolution and became a member of the Communist Party of China. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, he served as Secretary of the Pingyang Central District Committee and Organization Minister of the Taishun County Committee, among other roles; during the War of Resistance against Japan, he successively served as Secretary of the Dingping County Committee, Secretary of the Fuding County Committee, and Organization Minister of the South Zhejiang Special Committee. In 1939, he was also elected as a delegate to the 7th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, attended the Congress in Yan'an, and studied at the Central Party School. During the Liberation War, he worked in the northeast and served as Organization Minister of the Liaonan Prefectural Committee and Organization Minister of the Fifth Prefectural Committee of Liaonan Province. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he held various positions including Deputy Secretary of the Wenzhou Prefectural Committee, Secretary of the Jing'an District Committee in Shanghai, Secretary of the Xincheng District Committee in Shanghai, Head of the Agricultural Work Department of the Shanghai Municipal Committee along with Deputy Head of the Organization Department, and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress.

Lin Huishan was an early veteran of the underground Communist Party in southern Zhejiang. In his youth, he resisted the oppression and exploitation of landlords, pursued truth, and devoted himself to the revolution. When the southern Zhejiang base area was besieged by the reactionary Kuomintang forces, he fearlessly faced danger and risked his life. In extremely harsh conditions, he united comrades, closely relied on and mobilized the masses, and engaged in heroic and tenacious struggles against the enemy, making significant contributions to the revolutionary cause in southern Zhejiang. To commemorate Comrade Lin Huishan, later generations built the Lin Huishan Memorial Pavilion and Monument in his hometown, Yuantan Village, Cangnan County. The inauguration ceremony was held on March 23, 2009.

The Lin Huishan Memorial Pavilion is located in Yuantan Village, Chixi Town, Cangnan County. The plaque of the memorial pavilion was inscribed by calligrapher Lin Jiandan, and the couplet was written by Wan Haifeng, former member of the Central Advisory Commission and Political Commissar of the Chengdu Military Region. The memorial stele forest consists of eight bluestone tablets, featuring inscriptions by Liu Xirong, former Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, Tie Ying, former provincial party secretary, and Xue Ju, former Executive Vice President of the Central Party School of the CPC. The stele forest also displays Lin Huishan’s portrait, his 7th National Congress representative certificate, and his Red Army commemorative medal.
