The Tomb of Zhang Qin is located beside Jigu Ling in Shanbian Village, Mawan Town, Cangnan County. The tomb was built in the 19th year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1839), covering an area of approximately 500 square meters. A tomb path leads up to the site, with a memorial archway erected at the front. Its stone statues—including stone figures, horses, sheep, and lions—are well preserved. The horizontal plaque of the stone memorial arch reads “Tomb Path of General Zhang Qin, Military Merit Grand General Appointed by Imperial Decree of the Qing Dynasty.” The outer courtyard of the tomb is a flat platform paved with blue bricks, enclosed by a stone railing. The stone slabs are carved with reliefs of lions, flowers, and cloud motifs, showcasing high artistic value. The inner courtyard features a worship platform in the front, a sacrificial altar in the middle—both paved with stone slabs—and a sealed burial mound in the rear, topped with strip bricks.

Zhang Qin (1786–1835), styled Zounan and also known as Yunzhai, was a native of Nanping in Zhao Shun Township (present-day Nanping in Xiaguan Town). He successively served as Left Camp Horse Provision Officer, Battalion Commander of Dajing Camp, and Regimental Commander of Yu’ao Camp in Sichuan. In the 10th year of the Daoguang reign (1830), he was specially appointed as Commander-in-Chief of Linyuan Garrison in Yunnan, and later transferred to the position of Commander-in-Chief of Taiwan Garrison, where he passed away while in office. Known for his integrity in office and strict law enforcement, after his death, funds were raised by colleagues to have his remains transported back to his hometown for burial. The Qing court posthumously honored him with the title “General Zhenwei.”

Mawan Town: The Si Ji You (Four Seasons Pomelo), also known as Si Ji Pao, earned its name for bearing fruit multiple times a year. Originally from Xiakui Village, Kuili Township, Mawan District, Cangnan (now part of Cangnan County), this pomelo variety was developed in the Qing Dynasty’s Qianlong era by Zhou Zhizhen of Kuili through selective breeding of common seedling pomelos. It has been around for over 200 years, and a more than 150-year-old tree still stands in Xiakui Village, Mawan Town.

　By the mid-Qing Dynasty, the Si Ji You had already earned the reputation of being a “celestial delicacy,” often presented as tribute or given as a precious gift.
