Monkey King Valley Scenic Area is located in the western mountainous region of Wencheng County, 3 kilometers from the Shilin Forest Farm in Wencheng and just 8 kilometers away from the national-level Tongling Mountain Forest Park. Covering approximately 1046 hectares, the scenic area boasts over 20,000 acres of pristine secondary evergreen forest. With its fresh air, it serves as a natural oxygen bar. The area is characterized by ancient trees, unique waters, rugged mountains, steep paths, abundant wildlife, and serene landscapes.

The valley features deep forests, towering waterfalls, breathtaking pools, rare flowers, exotic plants, and intertwined vines and trees. Wild animals such as monkeys, muntjacs, birds, and sparrows are often spotted among the woods, especially the stump-tailed macaques that frequently roam in groups. The monkeys in the mountains often compete with locals for food, leaping and running through the woods. The undulating forest, as they move, resembles the surging waves of a stormy sea—lush green sways. The scenic area consists of various attractions including the Time Tunnel, Monkey Square, Peach Banquet, Secluded Valley, Scholars’ Tea Appreciation, Monkey Watching the Sea, Shy Maiden, Bird Garden, Monkey King Platform, and Heroes' Gathering.
