Former Site of the Expanded Meeting of the CPC Zhejiang Southern Special Committee

The Former Site of the Expanded Meeting of the CPC Zhejiang Southern Special Committee is a classic red tourism attraction.

Between July and August 1943, the CPC Zhejiang Southern Special Committee held an expanded meeting in Shizhan Village. The meeting conveyed and implemented the “General Guidelines” directive issued by the CPC Central China Bureau regarding the work of the Party in southern Zhejiang, and adopted the “Resolution on Future Work Tasks.” It was decided to strengthen political leadership, organizational work, and mass work, as well as actively carry out work in new areas, while further implementing the “concealment and refinement” policy. More than 10 leaders attended the meeting, including those from the Special Committee and the Qingjingli County Committee, and the session lasted half a month. In August, immediately following this, another rectification study session was held in Meiqi, attended by Special Committee members and heads of various counties. Lasting half a month, the focus was on studying the Party’s rectification literature and On the Cultivation of Communist Party Members. Based on improved understanding, criticism and self-criticism were carried out, thereby enhancing intra-party unity and boosting revolutionary combat effectiveness. From November of that year to January of the following year, Long Yue led agency cadres on another inspection tour of the Danan District, researching and planning to connect the work of the Danan District and the Taibei District to jointly counter the Nationalist army's armed “pacification” campaigns.

The Former Site of the Expanded Meeting of the CPC Zhejiang Southern Special Committee is located in Shizhan Village, Shizhan Forest Area, Shiwulin Forest Farm, Wencheng County. Surrounded by mountains, with continuous peaks, dense forests, and deep valleys, it lies in a remote area. The site is a two-story wooden house with five rooms, built in the late Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 140 square meters, and surrounded by a stone wall over one meter high.
