Yiren Stone Arch Bridge

The Yiren Stone Arch Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected by Wencheng County.

The Yiren Stone Arch Bridge is located at the entrance of Yiren Village, Huangtan Town, Wencheng County. Originally a causeway-style bridge, it was expanded in the 16th year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (1811) with the addition of the Ma’s Heavenly Immortal Palace on top, transforming it into a single-arch stone bridge. It stands 5 meters high, 12 meters long, and 25.3 meters wide. The foundation consists of natural rock layers in the streambed, and the arch is built from rectangular stone blocks fitted tightly together. The bridge deck retains a 2.7-meter-wide passage, while the rest of the space is occupied by a two-courtyard, corridor-style palace. The front courtyard features an especially exquisite stage. At the back of the palace, there remains a stele inscription from the 16th year of the Jiaqing reign titled “Record of Renovation.” This bridge uniquely combines a functional passage with an architectural complex, making it particularly distinctive.

It is located in the southwestern part of Wencheng, about 10 kilometers from the county seat, covering an area of 75.8 square kilometers.
