Wencheng County Museum

The Wencheng County Museum was constructed to the standards of a National Third-Class Museum, with a total construction area of 4,595 square meters and an exhibition area of approximately 2,800 square meters. The new museum has three floors above ground and one underground. The first floor houses a temporary exhibition hall, currently featuring the “Special Exhibition Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Long March of the Red Army”; the second floor is the basic exhibition hall titled “Natural Wencheng – Hometown of Imperial Tutors”; the third floor is divided into thematic exhibition halls dedicated to Liu Ji, overseas Chinese, and She ethnic culture. The overall display and exhibition project had a total investment of 20 million yuan. After more than four years of effort, the number of cultural relics and exhibits in the collection has increased from 230 in 2010 to over 7,900 today, covering categories such as pottery, porcelain, goldware, silverware, woodenware, stoneware, calligraphy and paintings, embroidery, and minerals. The museum is fully equipped with educational, exhibition, collection, and research functions.
