Introduction: In Sixi Town, there are two rainbow-arch-style wooden bridges, known as the “Sister Bridges” and also referred to as the “Master and Apprentice Bridge.” The Dongxi Bridge, originally built during the Longqing era of the Ming Dynasty, stands out with its red walls and grey tiles compared to the surrounding residential buildings. From a distance, it is especially eye-catching. Both sides of the bridge are covered below the railings with thinly laminated wooden planks to shield against rain. Not far from it is another bridge called the “Beijian Bridge,” built during the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty. The bridge is covered with a corridor roof, and the central ridge is designed as a double-eave structure, enhancing its visual appeal. Transportation: From Taishun to Sixi, there is a bus every 30 minutes before 16:30, with a fare of 10 yuan and a travel time of 1.5 hours. To get to Sixi from Wenzhou, you can take a long-distance bus from the passenger transport center at No. 52 Niu Shan Bei Road to Taishun, then get off at Xialiantou and transfer to a minibus, which costs 2 yuan.
