Haitan Mountain

Commonly known as Shang'an Mountain, Haitan borders the Ou River, faces Huagai Mountain to the south, has an elevation of 32.5 meters, and covers an area of 6.57 hectares. The mountaintop originally had the Yangfu Temple. In 1973, a 15,000-square-meter hillside area around the former site of Yangfu Temple was allocated to build the International Seamen's Club. In 1982, the Wangchao Pavilion was constructed. In 1985, the Communist Youth League Committee of Wenzhou City built a memorial statue on the mountain to honor Zhao Erchun, a model of people’s love.

The Baiyue Pavilion was built in July 1988. To the south, the branch Zhaoci Mountain houses the tomb of the famous Southern Song Dynasty philosopher Ye Shi (1150–1223). It was renovated after the liberation but destroyed during the “Cultural Revolution” period, and was rebuilt in 1981.
