Zheng's Residence on Shuomen Street is a Wenzhou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Zheng's Residence on Shuomen Street, also known as the Residence of Zheng Mingyun, is located at No. 15, Lane 30, Shuomen Street, Lucheng District, Wenzhou. It faces south and consists of two courtyards on the north side and a street-front shop on the south side.

The eastern part of the north side is a traditional-style courtyard house with a width of three bays and a main room depth of 8.5 meters. The lower floor features a boat-shaped canopy in the front corridor, while the upper floor’s outer corridor is adorned with decorative wooden railings carved with the Chinese character for “longevity.” Each of the east and west sides has two wing rooms with single-slope roofs, featuring brick lattice windows on the gable walls. The lower floor columns have single brackets supporting flower panels, while the wing rooms use three-dimensional carved bracket arms to support flower panels. The side rooms feature palace-pattern lattice windows. Suspended columns are used where the wing rooms connect with the main house.

The west side is a Western-style building with exposed brick exterior walls, a width of three bays, and a depth of five columns and nine rafters. An outer corridor is set on the north side, featuring bottle-shaped wooden railings and an arched roof. The arches are decorated with plaster reliefs of flowers, plants, and birds or animals. The eaves are finished with multiple layers of plaster moldings, and the overhanging eaves are adorned with fine wooden strips coated in plaster. The interior has wooden beams, and the ceiling is covered with gypsum plaster. The staircase is located on the south side of the central bay.

The south side, adjacent to Shuomen Street, has a two-story wooden structure shop consisting of two bays. The roof is covered with small blue tiles.

On the west side of the western courtyard, there is a plaster relief screen wall on the courtyard wall, with a single-room brick gate tower on the north side serving as the entrance.

Before the liberation, Zheng Mingyun ran a cotton shop called "Heshunsheng" on Shuomen Street. The Zheng family residence is a relatively typical example of modern architecture with distinct commercial and residential functional zoning.
