Ye Residence in Lucheng

The Ye Residence is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Zhejiang Province.

The Ye Residence is located at No. 3 Lianhua Dai, West Gate, Lucheng District. It was built by the Ye family, who were involved in maritime shipping during the late Qing Dynasty. The residence faces east and covers an area of approximately 400 square meters. It is a single-courtyard structure with a mixed brick-and-wood construction. The building has seven rooms across two floors, with a total width of 24.4 meters and a depth of 18.2 meters. It features traditional wooden beams, a brick gate tower, and a Guanyin-dou-style gable wall. The windows and eaves incorporate Western architectural decorative elements such as classical columns and pointed dentils. It is a typical example of a residence that blends Chinese and Western styles.
