The Cheng Family Residence on the southwest side of the stream is a Wenzhou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Cheng Family Residence on the southwest side of the stream is located in Pingshan Village, Linjiang Town, Lucheng District, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, south of the ancestral home of Cheng Rangping. It was built in the late Qing Dynasty. The residence faces east and sits west, consisting of a gate tower, main house, and wing rooms forming a courtyard-style wooden structure. The gate tower is a hybrid brick-and-wood structure, single-bay, with a flush gable roof and plastered brick gables. It has a depth of three bays. The roof is covered with board tiles and features a gray ridge, with gray plaster scrollwork on the ridge. The surrounding wall connects to the gate tower, forming a recessed shape, with the lower part built of block stones and the upper part of plastered brick. The north wing room is a two-story wooden structure with three bays, featuring a flush gable roof, a front waist eave, and a front porch on the ground floor. The corridor at the eastern end bay is enclosed indoors. The south wing room has the same layout as the north one and was restored to its original appearance in 2007. The main house has nine bays in width and is a single-story wooden structure. It features a double-eaved flush gable roof, board tiles, and a gray ridge with gray plaster scrollwork, and the ridge curls upward. The central bay has a depth of seven bays and fourteen purlins, with a mixed beam frame of raised beams and through-tenon construction, front and rear porches, and a boat-shaped canopy on the front porch. Behind the screen door is an inner... The front door of the central bay features gilded bracket sets, and the beams and latticed doors are exquisitely carved. The Cheng Family Residence is of considerable age and is relatively well-preserved. The detailed craftsmanship of the beams and other elements is refined, giving it certain historical and artistic value.

In August 2005, it was designated as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural relics protection units by the Wenzhou Municipal People's Government.
