Tiejing Lane

Tiejing Lane is a cultural heritage conservation unit of Zhejiang Province.

Tiejing Lane is located in Tiejing Lane, Lucheng District. The well curb is circular, with an iron-lined interior. The lower ring was cast in the sixth year of the Yuanyou era of the Northern Song Dynasty (1091), and the upper ring in the fourth year of the Qingyuan era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1198). In the first year of the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty (1851), the well curb was faced with bluestone, and the rim was paved with fan-shaped bluestone slabs arranged in a ring, with a diameter of 1.69 meters. The well's belly resembles an urn, built with bluestone blocks, about 5.6 meters deep, with clear water that never dries up throughout the year.
