Great care was taken in selecting the stone materials: the higher steps are made of white granite, and the lower ones of bluestone. This color and material combination is not only aesthetically pleasing but also allows night travelers to navigate easily by the reflection of starlight and moonlight, while during floods, the steps remain clearly visible. There is also a deeper meaning: the stone symbolizes firmness, representing endurance through the years; the white color signifies safe passage.

Transportation

There are many buses from Sankui to Shiyang, with the latest departure before 4 PM. The journey takes just over half an hour and passes by the Hu Family Courtyard in Xuexi.
