Yùwén Bridge

Yùwén Bridge is located at Shuǐwěi in Zhōubiān Village, Zhōulǐng Township, nestled in a gap between two mountains. Towering ancient trees line the bridge, which is elegantly tucked among them, resembling an exquisite Song dynasty painting. Though not the oldest, it may be the most beautiful covered bridge in Taishun.

Built in the 19th year of the Daoguang reign (1839), it is a stone-arch wooden covered bridge with three tiers, all featuring upturned eaves and ridges crowned with gourd-shaped finials, creating a richly ornate and graceful form. Unlike other covered bridges, the sides of the bridge are not enclosed with wooden panels but are instead adorned with finely crafted lattice wood carvings, adding to its refined delicacy.

Transportation

After getting off at Zhōulǐng Bus Station, it’s a five-minute walk to the bridge.
