The Feiyun Lake Scenic Area is a high-mountain, flat-lake landscape primarily centered around the lake’s island-dotted water zone. It consists of three major lakes—Bai Zhang Lake, Ju Lake, and Hongkou Lake—as well as numerous islands of varying sizes. The surrounding area boasts lush forest vegetation, with a forest coverage rate of 74.4%. A network of streams crisscrosses the region, forming many cascading waterfalls, thrilling rapids, and crystal-clear pools.

Traveling along the lake from Bai Zhang to Siqian, you’ll pass through Baihe Gorge (also known as Qumen Gorge). The gorge features layered peaks, steep cliffs, and ever-changing scenery as you move along the water—a stretch famously dubbed the “Ten-Mile Gallery.” At the gorge’s end lies the historic Baihe Ancient Ferry. Today, an overhead pedestrian suspension bridge—the Baihe Feidu Suspension Bridge, the longest of its kind in China at 358 meters—spans the old ferry site. The San Chaxi PVC rubber rafting on the “No. 1 Drift in Southern Zhejiang” offers a uniquely thrilling experience that leaves a lasting impression.

With the construction of the lakeside ring road, attractions such as the Wuyanling National Nature Reserve, Nanpu Stream Scenic Area, Xiaocun Ancient Covered Bridge and Village, and the Geyang Organic Tea Sightseeing Garden are now connected to the lake island area. Together, they form a stunning, diverse landscape rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage—making it an ideal destination for leisure, vacation, summer retreat, convalescence, and sightseeing.
