Jiufeng

Jiufeng Provincial Scenic Area is situated in the central region of revolutionary activities along the Fujian-Zhejiang border during the Second Revolutionary Civil War. It is made up of the “Red Army Road” and five scenic areas: Jiulitan, Xiujian, Fengwen Gorge, Xiaojiuqu, and Sishui Covered Bridge.

The “Red Army Road” serves as the heart of the scenic area. A roadway has now been built to connect the former site of the Provisional Provincial Committee of the Communist Party at the Fujian-Zhejiang border, the Memorial Hall of the Red Army Advancing Division, the former site of the establishment of the Southern Zhejiang Special Committee, the Red Army Cave Hospital, the reorganization site of the 19th Red Army Division, the site of the Fengwen Battle, and the “Red Fortress Villages,” forming a true “red ribbon.”

Due to its high mountains and remote location, the natural environment is well preserved, making the scenery in the scenic area extremely pleasant. With over a hundred attractions including Lion Rock, Chishi Rock Chamber, Qili Stream, Balitan, Jiulitan, and Jiufeng Chaogong, it is a golden destination for sightseeing and revolutionary tradition education.
