Tian Guan Mountain Provincial Forest Park is located in the western part of the county town, 2 kilometers from the city center, covering a total area of 1,043 hectares. The main peak of the park, Tian Guan Mountain, stands at an elevation of 1,296.5 meters. It is situated behind the urban area of Luo Yang and holds the status of an ancestral mountain, serving as a natural barrier against cold waves from the northwest. The park boasts a favorable forest ecological environment and rich forest vegetation, with a forest coverage rate of 99.1%.

The park features beautiful mountains and rivers, along with a serene environment. It is divided into five major scenic areas: Longjing Pit, Tian Guan Mountain, Beiling, Baixi, and Dongyuan, encompassing over 50 scenic spots. Among them, “Tian Guan Soaring Beauty” and “Dragon Pool Flying Snow” are two well-known scenic highlights in Taishun. The three sites “Hongyin Dragon Well,” “Cave Heaven Dragon Well,” and “Jizhu Dragon Well” are legendary dwelling places of the Water Saint deity and were ancient rain-seeking pools for the people of Taishun. “Tian Guan Ancient Path” is the most unique attraction in the park, blending natural and cultural elements.

Also known as the “Beiling Ancient Path,” the “Tian Guan Ancient Path” was a vital transportation route in ancient times connecting North Ridge Township to Luo Yang Town. Stretching 10 kilometers in length, it has a stone-paved surface. Lining both sides of the path are two rows of ancient and notable trees, stretching out like a coiling dragon, totaling more than a thousand trees with an age of nearly 100 years. Each tree is robust, ancient, and uniquely shaped. Beside the path lies nearly a thousand acres of secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest, mature in age, neat in appearance, and retaining a primitive wild charm. The ancient path, ancient bridges, ancient pavilions, ancient trees, and the timeless ambiance create a rich and profound sense of antiquity. In the forested valleys, a small stream meanders through, offering a tranquil and pristine ecological environment untouched by the outside world.
