Red Cliff

The Red Cliff Scenic Area is located southwest of the entrance to the Red Cliff Tunnel, about 8 kilometers from the county town. The area features towering strange peaks and grotesque rocks, perilous cliffs and precipices, unfathomable caves in the valley bottoms, majestic waterfalls, and deep, serene broad-leaved forests.

Major attractions include over 20 sites such as Red Cliff Peak, Steamer Rock, Silver-Washing Waterfall, Colorful Silver Cave, Cliffside Corridor, White Monkey Peak, Stone Bamboo Shoot Peak, Sky-Blocking Valley, Elephant Trunk Rock, and Eagle Rock. The scenic area’s peaks, cliffs, rocks, caves, waterfalls, pools, ponds, shoals, as well as its trees, flowers, grasses, and birdlife, present a richly diverse and colorful landscape painting.
