Former Site of the Establishment of the CPC Zhe-Min Border Central County Committee

The Former Site of the Establishment of the CPC Zhe-Min Border Central County Committee is a classic red tourism attraction.

On November 21, 1947, the CPC Southern Zhejiang Special Committee decided to abolish the Zhe-Min Border District Committee and the Taishun County Committee, and established the CPC Zhe-Min Border Central County Committee, which directly led the district committees within Taishun County and guided the work of the Dingping County Committee and the Fuding County Working Committee. On November 26 of the same month, the Zhe-Min Border Central County Committee was announced in Tianpingzi Village, Jiufeng Township, Taishun County. Chen Hui served as the secretary of the Central County Committee, with Ren Manjun and Zheng Yanzong as standing committee members, Lin Yongzhong and Liu Baosheng as executive committee members, Wang Lieping as an alternate member, and Ren Manjun as the head of the Organization Department. The County Committee governed four districts: Northeastern Taishun, Southeastern Taishun, Taiping, and Southwestern Taishun. After its establishment, the CPC Zhe-Min Border Central County Committee began restoring local Party organizations that had been damaged during the War of Resistance. By the end of December 1947, it had reorganized and restored 56 Party branches. By the end of March 1948, 44 more branches had been newly established, bringing the total number of Party members to 986. The CPC Zhe-Min Border Central County Committee was a significant revolutionary force in the Zhe-Min border region during the early stages of the Liberation War and played an important role in leading the revolutionary struggles in this area.

On April 18, 1949, in response to the needs of the revolutionary struggle, the CPC Southern Zhejiang Regional Committee renamed the CPC Zhe-Min Border Central County Committee as the Taishun Central County Committee, with Chen Hui remaining as secretary, Liu Baosheng and Lin Yongzhong as standing committee members, and Zheng Yanzong, Xie Bingpei, Chen Mianliang, and Lin Zhidong as executive committee members. Pan Guojia, Huang Kongqing, and Su Tingju (who did not take up the position) were appointed as alternate members. The Central County Committee guided the work of the Fuding and Dingping County Committees.

The Former Site of the Establishment of the CPC Zhe-Min Border Central County Committee is located in Tianpingzi Village, Jiufeng Township, Taishun County. It is a two-story wooden residential building. In November 2006, the Jiufeng Township Government and the Tianpingzi Village Committee built a memorial archway and a memorial pavilion near the site.
