Luoyang Stone Pavilion is located in Changpushi Natural Village, Chāngpǔlǒng, Sān??? Village, Luoyang Town, Taishun. It served as a resting spot along the ancient post road connecting Taishun to Wenzhou. Beside the pavilion, the old post road winds through the landscape, and a small pool by the roadside holds clear, refreshing mountain spring water.

The stone pavilion faces east and has a longitudinal rectangular floor plan (deeper than it is wide), with the eastern side open and the other three sides enclosed by rough stone walls. The roof features a hip-and-gable design. The layout of the pillar grid is quite distinctive: the front eaves have one bay with reduced columns, facilitating access for travelers, while the interior is divided into three sections. The depth-wise beam frame consists of a four-rafter beam with double-step beams in the front and a single-step beam at the rear. Below the ridge purlin is inscribed the text: “Erected on the auspicious day of the 16th of May in the Year of Yihei, the 10th year of the Zhengde Era of the Great Ming (1515).”

Apart from the rafters, all structural elements of the stone pavilion are made of bluestone, fashioned in imitation of wooden architecture. The craftsmanship is neat and the forms realistic, with distinct characteristics of the period. It is considered an outstanding example of stonework architecture and serves as an important physical testament for the study of ancient transportation history and historic post stations.
