The Site of the Provisional Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China for the Zhejiang–Fujian Border Region is a Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.
The Site of the Provisional Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China for the Zhejiang–Fujian Border Region is located in Baikewan Natural Village, Banggan Village, Sixi Town. The site is a small local village temple. On October 5, 1935, the Red Army Advance Division led by Liu Ying and Su Yu joined forces with the Fujian East Independent Division led by Ye Fei, Ruan Yingping, and others in Shouning County, Fujian Province. The two sides held a liaison meeting to discuss plans for re-establishing the Provisional Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China for the Zhejiang–Fujian Border Region. At the end of October, Liu Ying wrote to invite Ye Fei to come for discussions in order to promptly establish the Provisional Provincial Committee. On November 7, 1935, Ye Fei arrived with over ten Fujian East cadres, and the second joint meeting was subsequently held in the small village temple in Baikewan, officially founding the Provisional Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China for the Zhejiang–Fujian Border Region. An 11-member committee was formed, consisting of Liu Ying, Su Yu, Ye Fei, Huang Fuwu, Ruan Yingping, Liu Dayun, Xu Xinkun, Hong Jiayun, Fan Shiping, Fang Zhifu, and Xu Wang. Liu Ying served as secretary, Su Yu as head of the Organization Department, and Ye Fei as head of the Propaganda Department and secretary of the Young Communist League Provincial Committee. At the same time, the Zhejiang–Fujian Border Regional Military District was established, with Su Yu as commander and Liu Ying as political commissar, unifying the leadership of the armed struggle in the Zhejiang–Fujian border area. In January 2017, the site was listed as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural relics protection units in Zhejiang Province.
