The China She Ethnic Museum was established in 2006. It is located by the HeXi River on Renmin South Road, Hexi Town, Jingning She Autonomous County, Zhejiang Province. The museum covers a site area of 3,400 square meters, with a building area of 3,554 square meters, an exhibition area of over 1,500 square meters, and a temporary exhibition area of 600 square meters. The total investment exceeded 30 million yuan. The building’s exterior incorporates elements of She ethnic architecture, featuring distinctive design characteristics. Upon entering the museum, you are welcomed by a spacious hall and exquisite decorations that transport you into a historical realm. This museum showcases the culture and folk customs of the She ethnic group, with a focus on presenting the history of the She people.

The museum is divided into two exhibition areas: The first exhibition area displays the long-standing and fascinating folk culture of the She ethnic group. The exhibition halls include the Introductory Hall, Origins and Migration, Environment and Settlement, Production and Trade, Diet and Attire, Society and Customs, Beliefs and Worship, as well as Culture and Art. The second exhibition area highlights the splendid and vibrant clothing culture of the She ethnic group, offering a comprehensive and systematic presentation of She ethnic attire. Centered around the development history of the She people, the China She Ethnic Museum uses a wealth of cultural relics, physical objects, photographs, and modern high-tech display techniques to narrate the history and brilliant culture of the She ethnic group.
