Zhaishan Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Zhaishan Martyrs' Cemetery in Jingning She Autonomous County covers an area of over 2,000 square meters and is an important site and educational base for promoting the spirit of revolutionary martyrs in our county. The cemetery houses the remains of Red Army soldiers from the Third Guerrilla Warfare period, including those from the Red Army Advance Division, the Independent Division of the Red Army in Eastern Fujian, as well as People's Liberation Army soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the pursuit of the retreating Kuomintang forces under Li Tingnian, and the remains of brave sons and daughters of Jingning who gave their lives during the socialist revolution and construction.

To commemorate these heroes who shed their blood for the revolution, a Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Tower was erected in 1952 on Zhaishan, in the western suburbs of the county seat. In the 1970s, the tower collapsed due to weathering and was rebuilt. In 1988, it was expanded into a martyrs' cemetery. In 1995, Zhaishan Martyrs' Cemetery was designated as a patriotic education base in Lishui City. In December 2013, the Jingning County Government invested over one million yuan to launch a renovation project at the cemetery, comprehensively upgrading facilities such as martyr tombs, the memorial monument, ground railings, lighting, and landscaping.

The cemetery serves as an important place for the people of Jingning to honor revolutionary martyrs and engage in patriotic education. During major holidays and events such as Tomb-Sweeping Day, Army Day, and Party Founding Day, officials, citizens, students, and representatives from various sectors and organizations visit to pay tribute, take oath of party membership, and participate in activities such as integrity education, party spirit education, and mass line education, deeply commemorating and mourning the revolutionary martyrs.

To further improve the management of Zhaishan Martyrs' Cemetery, relevant departments in our county have established detailed management systems and various contingency plans, assigned dedicated personnel to manage the cemetery, and employed part-time guides to share the heroic deeds of the revolutionary martyrs. Over the past 60 years, Zhaishan Martyrs' Cemetery has received an average of 20,000 visitors from all walks of life annually, achieving significant social impact.
