Commonly known as "Qipengtou." It faces east and sits west, with an overall layout along five axes—longer from north to south and shorter from east to west. The total width is approximately 66 meters, the depth about 40 meters, covering a total area of around 2,700 square meters. Along the central axis are, in sequence, the front building, central hall, rear hall, and wing rooms on both sides; the buildings on the other four axes are all wing rooms, with ten rooms on each of the two northern axes and eleven on each of the southern ones. There are fourteen courtyards of varying sizes, all paved uniformly with cobblestones. The main gate is a four-pillar, five-story brick-carved gate tower, decorated entirely with relief carvings, showcasing delicate and exquisite craftsmanship. The wooden decorations of the central hall and rear hall feature deeply and shallowly carved patterns, exquisitely intricate.

The Hu Family’s old residence features an orderly layout with clear primary and secondary sections; its structure is rigorous and workmanship refined. It is relatively large in scale and well preserved. It stands as a Qing Dynasty residential building in our province that boasts distinct local characteristics and considerable size.
