Yongkang Hongfu Temple

Yongkang Hongfu Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Located inside a cave, it has a beautiful legend: It is said that a celestial being once carried a shoulder pole through this area and was captivated by the landscape. Stopping to admire the scenery, the being accidentally dropped one of the items from the pole to the human world. The item turned into a huge rock that landed perfectly in a cliffside, forming a natural stone cave. People believed it was a gift from heaven, so they built a temple inside the cave. Ever since, worshippers have visited year after year, keeping the incense burning continuously to honor the celestial being.

The bronze-cast Eight Hundred Arhats inside the cave are each uniquely posed, smiling down at every visitor.
