Yongkang Lingyan Scenic Area

Yongkang Lingyan Scenic Area is one of the top ten most popular attractions in Jinhua. Located just three kilometers from Fangyan Scenic Area, it sits at the foot of the shimmering Lingshan Lake. The "World’s No. 1 Cave Mansion" on the mountain connects from north to south, spacious as a grand hall, offering a cool retreat in summer and warmth in winter—making it a natural summer resort. Boasting numerous historical sites, it is widely renowned across central Zhejiang.

The Fushan Temple within Lingyan Cave was first built in the fourth year of the Changxing era during the Later Tang Dynasty. Inside the cave are structures such as the "Temple of the Heavenly King," the "Mahavira Hall," the "Guanyin Hall," and the "Kṣitigarbha Hall." On the right side, the "Guanyin Pavilion" houses a four-faced Thousand-Armed Guanyin statue. The cave once housed the "Zhengxue Academy," where literary figures such as Chen Liang and Zhu Xi from the Song Dynasty, and Tang Bohu and Zhu Zhishan from the Ming Dynasty, lectured, preached, and wrote their works. The area is rich in cultural heritage. Opposite the cave are the "Tiger-Subduing Mountain," the "Goat-Horn Skyfall Waterfall," and the "Bamboo Forest Temple," all offering unique scenery. The scenic area features ten major landscapes, each with its own distinct charm, making it a captivating destination that visitors find hard to leave. It is truly an ideal spot for Buddhist activities and sightseeing.
