Tai Zhen Cave is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Tai Zhen Cave, a national 2A-level scenic area, is also known as "Tai Jun Cave." It is located in Xia Cao Wu Village, Tai Zhen Township, Qujiang District, 38 kilometers from downtown Quzhou. Legend has it that Laozi, the founding patriarch of Taoism, once practiced alchemy and cultivated immortality here. Laozi is the founder of Taoism, also known as the Supreme Old Lord. The Taoist scripture "Chaotian Da Qian" states: “In Quzhou, Zhejiang, there is Tai Zhen, where the Supreme Old Lord preached the scriptures.” Yang Yuhuan of the Tang Dynasty once listened to teachings and studied Taoism here. Later, she was conferred the title of "Tai Zhen Princess" (also known as Yang Tai Zhen). "Tai Zhen" is also a title in Taoism, hence the cave is named "Tai Zhen Cave."

Tai Zhen Cave is hailed as the "First Grotto Heaven" due to the worldwide fame of its "Three Wonders of Tai Zhen." The cave features a complex of interconnected chambers, totaling thirty-six grotto heavens—this is the first wonder. Inside, there are celestial fields with crisscrossing paths—this is the second wonder. The cave is perpetually enveloped in ethereal mist, with an overwhelming presence of Taoist vital energy—this is the third wonder. The cave palace boasts spacious halls and magical landscapes, dreamlike and indescribably magnificent, thus called the "Tai Zhen Dreamland." Currently, only seven palaces, two halls, and one platform of the "Tai Zhen Dreamland" have been developed, covering a visitable area of over 8,000 square meters, which is just one-third of the total area. There are 108 named attractions, with major ones including: Tai Qing Palace, Eight Trigrams Alchemy Platform, Tai Ji Maze, Shang Qing Palace, Yu Qing Palace, Yu Quan Palace, San Qing Palace, Lion and Elephant Hall, Sacred Water Dragon Palace, and Magpie Bridge Hall.

In March 2004, the movie "The Great Emperor Daizong" and in 2010, the TV series "Legend of the Twelve Zodiacs" were both filmed in Tai Zhen Cave. The film sets from that time are still preserved for visitors to view.
